Capital City Burlesque is looking for dedicated women with a passion for burlesque to join our troupe.

What We're Looking for

We are currently seeking chorus dancers for our upcoming major production on Saturday, December 17, 2016.

Previous dance experience is an asset, but we welcome anyone who is enthusiastic and willing to learn.

About Auditions

Prepared choreography is not required - we'll teach you everything you need to know!

Our auditions are run like a typical CCB rehearsal. Following a warm up, you'll learn one of our dances, and then we'll run the dance a number of times so you can get familiar with the choreography. Time permitting, we may also teach some classic moves and combos.

Please wear something you can move in (leggings, yoga pants, nothing too loose or baggy) and bring running shoes, a yoga mat, and a pair of heels you can dance comfortably in.

Special note: our auditions are closed to outside spectators.

What's the Commitment Like?

We meet twice a week for group rehearsals, typically on Tuesdays from 7:30 - 9:30 and Sundays from 6:30 to 8:30. As show dates approach, rehearsals will run longer and we add a third rehearsal night on Thursdays from 7:30 - 9:30.

In addition to weekly rehearsals, we expect all of our members to review choreography and practice independently at home.

On show days, dancers must be available for technical & dress rehearsals. Call times and show information will be provided in advance.

Are You In?

Interested? Join us on Sunday, March 18th at Workshop West Playwright's Theatre (11516 103 St, Upper Hall). We'll be starting at 7:30PM - don't be late!

Hope to see you there!
